Terms of Service

Effective: July 11, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of inrole (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information and comply with applicable laws.

Your data and license

  • You own your content: your CV, profile, LinkedIn graph, evaluations, drafts, pipeline, and related data (“Your Data”).
  • You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Data only to provide the Service, maintain security, and comply with law.
  • We may generate de-identified, aggregated metrics to improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.

Integrations and third-party services

  • You may connect third-party services such as Gmail and a LinkedIn export. You authorize us to use the tokens or files you provide to access data strictly as instructed.
  • inrole reads public job postings from boards including Greenhouse, Ashby, and Lever. Those boards' terms apply to their content.
  • Third-party terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
  • You can revoke access at any time from either inrole or the third-party service.

AI features

  • inrole uses AI to score postings, rank intros, and draft CVs, outreach, and answers. These outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate and are provided for assistance only. Review everything before you send or rely on it.
  • We use third-party model providers, including Anthropic. Where the provider offers it, we opt out of training on your data.
  • Scores, rankings, and drafts are not professional, legal, or career advice.

Acceptable use

  • Do not violate laws, infringe intellectual property, upload malware, probe or disrupt systems, bypass security, exceed rate limits, or use the Service to spam or harass.
  • Do not upload highly sensitive personal data (for example government IDs, financial account numbers, or health data) unless we have agreed in writing.
  • Outreach you send through or with inrole is your responsibility. Follow the receiving platform's rules.

Plans, billing, and taxes

  • inrole is a single plan billed via Stripe, offered at $39 per month or $99 for six months, and renewing automatically until canceled. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial; you are first charged when the trial ends. Fees are due in advance and are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • You may cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We may change prices with reasonable prior notice for future periods. You are responsible for applicable taxes.

Confidentiality and security

  • Each party will protect the other's confidential information and use it only as permitted by these Terms.
  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Your Data. Every read and write is scoped to your account.

Intellectual property

  • We and our licensors own the Service, software, and associated intellectual property. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
  • Suggestions and feedback may be used without restriction. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to do so.

Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate for material breach, legal risk, or security reasons.
  • On termination, we will delete Your Data within a reasonable period, subject to legal and backup requirements. You may request an export before deletion.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. inrole does not guarantee interviews, offers, or any job-search outcome.

Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in that period, or $100 if you use a free plan.

Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising from Your Data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law and forum: California, USA.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
